On Saturday, August 20, 2016, over 45 participants - beginners and experienced artists alike - joined us for our FREE annual Pre-Festival Workshop at Watson Park in San Jose. The workshop began with a demonstration by Clif Gold, Cheryl and Wayne Renshaw, covering the basic techniques, supplies and process for taking a project from paper to pavement. Following the demonstrations, participants selected an apple to draw, based on their skill/interest level. Then, participants practiced transferring their drawing on the ground using the grid method, and "painted" their apple.
