Hello Teachers and youth group leaders! If you participated in the 2019 Chalk Art Festival you are in the right place! We want to support your efforts to engage K-12 age kids in artistic endeavours of all types! Please read this entire page and remember that we will be looking for your grant application by the deadline of Midnight, October 20, 2019 All schools and K-12 youth organizations that participate in the Luna Park Chalk Art Festival are eligible to apply for a grant from $200 to $1000 for a specific project to enhance art instruction and participation. Past grants have been awarded for: - art supplies (paint, clay, paper)
- art equipment (drying racks for print making, display easels)
- tools (cameras, buckets, shovels, etc for sand castle building)
- lectures by local artists (to pay the artist’s stipend)
- participatory workshops (murals, tiles)
- home-school art Instruction (for a group of homeschooling students to be taught by an artist)
- performing arts programs such as Folklorico costumes
This is only a partial list of eligible projects; your imagination may vary. Check out past recipients here: Your Support At Work Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria: - value of the program in relation to the requested funding
- number of children impacted, both directly and indirectly
- perceived need of the population served
- completeness and clarity of the application
How to apply: - Applicants must have participated in the most recent (2019) Luna Park Chalk Art Festival
- Complete the application linked below by the due date: October 20, 2019 at midnight
- Award recipients from previous years are eligible to apply again but will only be considered if they submitted the required follow up report by the due date.
